Bas Jan Ader was a Dutch conceptual artist working in America.
On 9 July 1975, he set off to cross the Atlantic Ocean alone on what would have been the smallest boat to ever do so.
On 18 April 1976, his deserted boat was found 100 nautical miles South West of Ireland.
On 18 March 2019 I set off to Falmouth, Ader’s original destination.
