I am constantly trying to explain something uncommunicable is a collage series reflecting on technological narratives we tell ourselves through visual language. The work compiles images of new technologies created using text-to-image machine learning software. The algorithms used in producing the work draw from millions of images already available online to create new compositions, which inevitably fall into old ways of thinking and representation. From horseshoe crabs, which blood is used in testing new vaccines, to nuclear fission, a utopian energy source which might one day replace fossil fuels, the themes central to these works reflect on the interconnected nature of planetary-scale technology. At a time where many issues are too complex for the human mind to grasp and resolve, it is important to stay critical of the technological narratives which surround us.
